We’re looking for a creative and reliable Lighting Jockey to join our production team. You’ll be responsible for operating the lighting, lasers and visuals systems during club nights and events, helping to create an engaging atmosphere that supports the music and performers.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate lighting, laser and visual effects systems during club nights and events.
- Create lighting looks that enhance the music, performers, and overall event experience.
- Complete setup checks and basic troubleshooting before and during events.
- Maintain a tidy and functional lighting booth, reporting any equipment issues.
- Work collaboratively with DJs, hosts, performers and management.
Key skills:
- Good sense of rhythm, timing and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced nightlife environment.
- Reliable, professional and able to work late nights and weekends.
- Experience within LGBTQ+ nightlife and an understanding of queer club culture is preferred.
- Basic sound tech knowledge is preferred (e.g., DJ changeovers, sound mixing).
- Previous experience with lighting desks or DMX systems is beneficial, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
Typical shifts:
2-3 shifts per week on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, usually between 11pm and 4am, with additional shifts available for special events and Bank Holidays (including Pride and Halloween). You must be willing to work late nights and weekends.
Pay is £13.00 per hour, plus staff perks.
